Capt. Buddy LaPointe is a full-time professional Florida Keys fishing guide in Marathon. Offering a wide variety of light tackle and fly fishing, Capt. Buddy is very patient with young or inexperienced anglers. Yet with over 30 years of experience charter fishing in Marathon, he can also help seasoned anglers to further hone their skills. Tarpon/permit/bone fish/shark & family fun fishing charters are his specialties.

We have fished with Captain Buddy 6 years running. Snapper, Grouper, Mackerel, Tarpon, Trout, Black Tip Sharks, Nurse Sharks...he works hard to make sure each trip is a successful one. He's also one of the main reasons we come back to Marathon Key each year. Buddy is exceptional working with young anglers...he has a heart of gold.

We recently spent the day with Captain Buddy after the death of my father. My Dad has been fishing with Captain Buddy for 32 years and we wanted to honor his memory with a day of fishing and just being on the water. Later in the afternoon, Buddy picked up the whole family and we cruised along sharing remembrances of my Dad until sunset. It was a great day and we are so thankful for Captain Buddy's friendship.
